It typically involves psychiatric illness.

War decreases suicide. Perhaps, it is because national cohesion happens and unemployment is less. Cultures influence suicide mode.

Killing oneself can be voluntary or ritualistic.

Suicide is illegal in many countries. No theology allows it. It has stigma.
